According to Moody's Analytics, migration to Florida will rapidly accelerate and level off in the next 4-5 years. This migration is expected to reignite Florida's entire economy, generating more jobs, construction and business sales. It has the potential of a post-Great Recession recovery. Florida economists expect more people to move to Florida in 2013 than during 2008, 2009 and 2010 combined. This increase is due primarily to the number of baby boomers that have reached and will reach retirement age at record breaking numbers. Starting in the year 2013, the 65 year and older group of retirees is projected to increase by 1.4 million every year.
